Melissa Aldana with Gonzalo Rubalcaba: Tiny Desk Concert

Chilean tenor saxophonist Melissa Aldana and Cuban pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba perform together for El Tiny, NPR Music’s Latin Music Month edition of the Tiny Desk series. Much of the set draws from their collaborative album Filin, which revisits Cuban ballads originally popularized between the 1940s and 1960s as instrumental jazz performances.
