Mr. Fastfinger - Awaki-Waki - Stringweaver - GuitarBots game

“Awaki-Waki” opens Mr. Fastfinger’s 2013 Stringweaver EP, a four-track instrumental release written, produced, and performed by Finnish guitarist Mika Tyyskä.¹

The song was actually composed years earlier for The Way of the Exploding Guitar before being rediscovered in Tyyskä’s archives in late 2012. Tyyskä later described Stringweaver as a return to the lighter, more colorful atmosphere of his earlier Mr. Fastfinger material.²

The release also crossed into interactive guitar culture: “Awaki-Waki,” “Practice Heart,” and “Nightvisions” were adapted into special GuitarBots levels that players could perform with their own instruments.³
