Making Days Longer
From the member
GBTI NetworkRJD2’s “Making Days Longer” is a reworking of Labi Siffre’s 1971 song “Bless the Telephone.” Released on RJD2’s 2004 album Since We Last Spoke, the version transforms Siffre’s intimate singer-songwriter original with electronic production while retaining its emotional core.1
It is worth hearing Siffre’s original alongside RJD2’s version. The contrast shows how dramatically a song can change through arrangement and production.2
