We’ve assembled a list of the top 100 WordPress YouTube channels to follow in 2026.
Who’s YouTubing about Wordpress in 2026? Our Selection Process
To be included in our Top 100 list, a channel first had to meet one major rule: it posted at least one video about WordPress within the **2026 **calendar year.
In our research, we identified 177 channels that met this rule,* excluding hosting companies*, which are not included in this study. However, we needed to narrow our list down to meet our 100-channel goal.
To do this, we created an inclusion algorithm that gives every channel a score out of 100.
How the score works
Each channel has a score out of 100; #1 has the highest. We looked at four things for every channel and compared each channel with all the others. The bar below shows how much each one counts toward the score:
Show the full formulaHide the full formula
Score = 100 × (0.4 × Focus + 0.2 × Volume + 0.2 × Reach + 0.2 × Engagement) × Seller
- Focus: share of 2026 videos about WordPress. A channel with only a few videos has its Focus pulled toward the average, so one lucky video cannot grab the top spot.
- Volume: WordPress videos posted in 2026
- Reach: median views per video
- Engagement: views compared with subscribers
- Seller: 0.75 for channels run by plugin or theme companies, and 1 for every other channel. Those channels often make videos to sell their own products, and we wanted to favor channels that teach and share news.
Focus, Volume, Reach and Engagement are each where the channel sits among all the channels we measured, from 0 (the bottom) to 1 (the top).
Subscriber count alone does not raise a score. Five channels are always included whatever their score, which is why Gutenberg Times sits at #100.
Types of Channels Surveyed
Who makes WordPress videos in 2026?
The channels vary widely in size. The median channel has 10,500 subscribers. Fifteen channels have 100,000 subscribers or more, while 22 have fewer than 1,000. Together, the 100 posted 4,686 videos about WordPress in 2026.
What is the topic density related to WordPress for these channels?
Across all 100 channels, 4,686 of the 7,050 videos posted in 2026 are about WordPress. That is 66% of total videos posted. So this list ended up representing channels that trend to creating videos about or involving WordPress.
AI is in nearly one title in five
Of the 7,050 titles posted by the 100 channels in 2026, 1,285 use an AI term. That is 18%, or nearly one title in five. We found this interesting, but AI mentions did not affect the final scores in any way.
16:9 (Long form) still dominates WordPress
Long-form video still carries WordPress on YouTube. Most of these channels treat Shorts as a side dish: only about 6% of the typical channel’s uploads are Shorts, and 18 channels have posted none at all.
